A significant milestone has been the launch of our innovative PRISMA DMFP with simultaneous dual measurement, RGB technology, which enhances the detection of all-color foreign matter and 4th generation of Polypropylene detection, setting a new standard in quality assurance within the industry.
Q. With sustainability being a key focus globally, how does Loepfe contribute to waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable textile production?
Loepfe contributes to sustainability through its innovative PRISMA yarn clearer, which helps spinning mills reduce yarn waste. By utilizing four dedicated sensors for different clearing tasks, PRISMA ensures accurate fault detection and clearing, minimizing unnecessary cuts and enhancing efficiency and yarn quality. This precision not only optimizes production but also promotes sustainable textile manufacturing practices with the highest possible raw material utilization.
Q. How is Loepfe adapting its sensor-based monitoring and control systems to meet the evolving demands of textile mills worldwide?
Loepfe is adapting its sensor-based monitoring and control systems to meet the evolving demands of textile mills by prioritizing user-friendliness. Our PRISMA system is designed so that even untrained or new employees can operate it effectively. Key features like the Autostart and Autocorrect functions enhance this usability.
Autostart offers the fastest and safest way to create secure settings for new and existing articles. The clever software automatically creates clearing curves for all matrixes, based on yarn quality data from the first 100km/group. This reduces the need to manually go through all matrixes and their curve settings.

Loepfe is tailoring its solutions for the growing demand for technical textiles by leveraging advanced yarn quality control sensors that effectively monitor all staple fibers, ensuring consistent quality. Recognizing that different raw materials and processes require specific sensor combinations, Loepfe offers a diverse range of solutions. This adaptability allows spinning mills to select the best configurations to meet the unique challenges of high-performance materials, ultimately enhancing productivity and product quality.
Q. Switzerland and India share strong trade ties. How do you view India as a strategic market for Loepfe, and what are your future plans for expansion in the region?
Loepfe Brothers is well known since decades in the Indian textile industry. India is one of our biggest markets and we belief that with our advanced yarn clearer technology we still have potential to grow. To be close with the customers Loepfe has an own set up in India with sales, service and repair possibilities.
Q. What are the biggest challenges currently faced by textile machinery manufacturers, and where do you see new opportunities for growth and investment?
The current situation shows an overcapacity of the spinning industry. The low investments are made very selective regarding machinery and components and only with high performance products you can gain some business. Loepfe is continuously improving the functionalities of the yarn clearers and implement the needs from spinning mill. Only with top products growth is possible.
