Manmohan Singh Honoured with Outstanding Leader Award at ABG Chairman Awards

Manmohan Singh, Group Executive President (Chief Marketing Officer) at Grasim Industries Ltd., was conferred the Outstanding Leader Award at the Silver Jubilee edition of the Aditya Birla Group Chairman Awards. The honour celebrates Singh’s distinguished 35-year career in the textile and fibre industry and his substantial contributions to multiple businesses within the Group.

Singh described the recognition as deeply humbling, emphasising that it reflects the collective impact created by his teams, colleagues, and mentors over the decades. He credited his 14-year journey within the Aditya Birla Group as instrumental in shaping his leadership approach, acknowledging the guidance and support of Kumar Mangalam Birla and senior leaders including Pranab Barua, Krishna Kishore Maheshwari, Shailender Jain, Debu Bhattacharya, Ratan Shah, Thomas Varghese, Dilip Gaur, H.K. Agarwal, Ashok Ramachandran and Vadiraj Kulkarni.

He paid tribute to teams across GBTL, Vikram Woollen, Jayshree Textiles, Soktas, Grasim MBDD and Birla Cellulose, calling them the “true pillars” behind every achievement in his professional journey.

Adding a special personal note, Singh shared his pride in having his son Navjot present at the ceremony. Navjot was also nominated for the Chairman’s Individual Award in the Emerging Professional category—making the evening a memorable family milestone. Singh concluded with warm gratitude to his family, especially his wife, for their consistent support, patience and motivation throughout his career.
