At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025 in Singapore, STC Spinnzwirn GmbH reaffirmed its position as a global leader in synthetic fibre and technical yarn machinery. Speaking after the show, Harald Müller, Regional Sales Director, shared detailed insights on the company’s strategy, technology roadmap, and strengthened commitment to India and the broader Asian market. In this exclusive post-event interview, he elaborates on the momentum generated during the exhibition, the new partnership with A.T.E., and the evolving needs of a post-pandemic textile industry.

A Global Platform Returns to a Global City
Reflecting on ITMA Asia’s return to Singapore, Müller noted that the venue once again lived up to its reputation as a global meeting point. “It was truly great to have ITMA Asia back in Singapore,” he said. “The city is a melting pot of cultures and serves as an ideal hub for worldwide engagement. Exhibitors and visitors alike benefit from Singapore’s accessibility, infrastructure, and international connectivity.”

For STC Spinnzwirn, the exhibition attracted a geographically diverse audience. “We were able to meet customers from all regions of Asia and beyond,” Müller added. “The quality of discussions and the global attention reaffirmed how critical the Asian region is for future textile machinery investments.”

Strengthening Roots in India: A New Partnership with A.T.E.
One of the biggest strategic developments for STC Spinnzwirn in 2025 has been its newly formalized partnership with A.T.E. Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., a trusted name in India’s textile and engineering value chain.

“We have just established a new partnership between A.T.E. and STC Spinnzwirn,” Müller said. “We look forward to a strong, successful collaboration that enhances customer outreach, technical support, and overall market penetration.”

He emphasized that India is among the company’s most important markets: “India is one of the fastest-growing and most promising regions for our equipment. With A.T.E., we expect to significantly strengthen our presence and open doors to customers who may not yet be familiar with the advanced capabilities of our technologies.”

Showcasing Future-Ready Technologies at ITMA Asia
At the exhibition, STC Spinnzwirn showcased key innovations specifically designed to meet global demands for efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effective modernization. Müller highlighted two flagship technologies:

  1. RAPTOR CX Winder Series
The company’s latest winder development for synthetic fibres and technical yarns. “RAPTOR CX reflects our engineering philosophy—high precision, low waste, and superior winding efficiency,” Müller explained.
  1. New Heated Godet Generation
Designed for innovative take-up systems, this new godet technology enhances process stability and yarn quality. Both developments share a common goal: enabling customers to retrofit existing spinning lines instead of investing in entirely new plants. “For customers, this means lower investment costs, shorter installation time, and quick production restart,” Müller noted.

Engineering for Sustainability: Efficiency Meets Responsibility
Sustainability continues to be a central priority for the company. “When developing new technologies, we focus on building sustainable, long-lasting machines,” Müller said. “The benefits are visible in optimized manufacturing processes, improved operator experience, and reduced maintenance requirements.”

Supporting Circularity and Recycling
Müller emphasized the importance of minimizing waste in yarn production—an area where STC Spinnzwirn’s systems offer significant advantages. “One of the main objectives is to reduce waste to an absolute minimum,” he said. “Thanks to the efficiency of our machines, customers can achieve waste reduction of almost 100%.” In addition, the flexibility of STC equipment allows processing of rPET and other recycled materials, aligning with circularity goals embraced by global brands.

Digitalization and Industry 4.0 Integration
Digital capability continues to evolve rapidly in textile production, and STC Spinnzwirn is keeping pace. “Automatic winders have been state-of-the-art for decades,” Müller noted, “but today, connectivity and data integration define the next phase of efficiency.”

STC winders can now integrate seamlessly with customer networks—
• sharing real-time production data
• receiving parameters from central systems
• reporting status and maintenance needs
• connecting with automated doffing systems for higher productivity

“These digital capabilities help customers achieve greater consistency, reduced downtime, and improved process transparency,” he added.

Adapting to Post-Covid Market Shifts
The post-pandemic industry landscape continues to influence investment patterns and supply-chain decisions. “Uncertainty and rising costs have significantly impacted the market,” Müller acknowledged. “Project implementation times have increased due to changing tariffs, regulations, and shifting market expectations.” However, technology remains a stabilizing factor. “STC solutions help manufacturers build resilient, flexible, and future-ready operations, which is exactly what today’s environment demands,” he said.

Collaboration and Future Innovation Pathways
When asked about joint R&D initiatives with Indian partners, Müller said the focus for now is on strengthening the foundation of the newly formed partnership with A.T.E. “We expect that once our collaboration fully takes shape, we will gain deeper insights into India’s enormous potential,” he shared. “At the moment, we do not have active R&D projects with Indian companies, but the possibility remains open for the future.”

A Message to Indian Stakeholders
Müller concluded with a clear message for Indian textile entrepreneurs, policymakers, and manufacturers considering modernization investments. “Our equipment is ideally suited for companies aiming to upgrade existing spinning plants rather than build new ones,” he emphasized. “We combine proven spinning technology with state-of-the-art winders and take-up components to make existing production lines more efficient and future-ready.”
