Mayer & Cie. prepares phased restart following strategic investment. Circular knitting machine manufacturer under new ownership.
Mayer & Cie. is pleased to inform its customers, partners, and stakeholders that the company is preparing to progressively restart operations, with activities expected to stabilise over the coming weeks and production planned to resume in phases from spring.
Following the public announcement by Huixing, it is confirmed that Xu Hongjie, owner of the Chinese circular knitting machine manufacturer Huixing, has acquired Mayer & Cie.’s circular knitting business, including its international subsidiaries. This marks a strategic brand collaboration between two globally recognised knitting-machine manufacturers aimed at serving the entire spectrum of customer requirements worldwide.
Mayer & Cie. will continue to operate as a German premium brand, retaining its engineering heritage, product philosophy, quality standards, and long-standing customer relationships. Development and manufacturing will remain anchored in Albstadt, Germany, underscoring the company’s 120-year legacy of innovation and reliability.
The collaboration brings together Mayer & Cie.’s decades-long expertise in premium circular knitting technology with Huixing’s global manufacturing scale and agility. Both brands will work closely to create operational, manufacturing, and supply-chain synergies.
