Arunachal Pradesh Signs MoU with EPCH to Promote Textiles and Handicrafts

The partnership will focus on skill development, product diversification and improved branding for artisans.

An MoU was signed by Mimum Tayeng, Commissioner, Textiles and Handicrafts, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and Rajesh Rawat, Executive Director, EPCH, in the presence of Nyato Dukuma, Minister, along with senior officials.

According to an official statement, the agreement is aimed at supporting artisans through structured capacity-building initiatives and skill development programmes. It also focuses on encouraging product diversification aligned with evolving global market trends.

The collaboration will further work towards improving branding, packaging and presentation of traditional crafts, helping local products gain stronger visibility in national and international markets.

Officials said the partnership is expected to open new market avenues for artisans and contribute to the overall expansion of Arunachal Pradesh’s textile and handicraft sector by enhancing competitiveness and increasing export potential.
